About
A Work in Progress
For the past eight years, I’ve worked in digital marketing and brand management roles in the nonprofit sector. It’s been fulfilling—I’ve helped amplify the voices of community leaders, small and BIPOC-owned businesses, overseen major rebrands, and led campaigns that have shifted perceptions of my hometown, Baltimore. I’ve always been drawn to mission-driven work because if we’re spending most of our lives working, I want it to matter.
At heart, I’m a visual artist. I always have been. And over time, I have started to feel stifled by my career in marketing. Boxed in by strategy decks and spreadsheets, when what I really want is to be designing.
That feeling led me back to school to finish my BFA in graphic design in the fall of 2023. It’s where I’ve reconnected with the kind of work that excites me—the kind where the challenge is to communicate an idea not just clearly, but beautifully. Recently, this path has brought me to UX/UI design, which feels like the perfect intersection of everything I care about: empathy, accessibility, creativity, clarity, and storytelling with purpose.
Now, I’m ready to shift. I want to design experiences that are thoughtful, intuitive, and rooted in strategy, but driven by heart. I want to make things that are not only functional, but feel good to use. And this time, I want to be the one behind the screen, bringing the vision to life.
